This mountain village was the ninth Princess of Emperor Yosemo afterwards and was run by Eiji Ichijyo (Kanzon-kagaku, Syori) who served regency and engagement twice.
There is a record that about 390 years ago, the time was in the early Edo period, a tea ceremony was held at this mountain village in the third year of Masayoshi (1646 AD).

At first glance the rural-style building is a royal "teahouse" where Ebiko himself designed and was filled with elegant heart and scenery everywhere.
In 1945, it moved to the place of Kamakura.
Garden stones and Katsuyama water were transferred along with the building and arranged like that time.
After that, in 1963 it was designated as an important cultural property of the country.
As the building of the same age, the "Katsura Rikyu" and "Shogakuin Rikyu" located in Kyoto are famous.
Katsura Rikyu is the parent of the habitual uncle Hachijo Palace Tomohito, and Shogakuin Rikyu is the construction by Emperor Suen Mizuo, an elder brother of Happoi, both of which are facilities to convey the courtesan culture in the early Edo period.
